Hand over a collection
Transfer contract ownership and its complete Aurora collection to another creator, or to Aurora for a managed setup.

The collection moves together
Aurora can set up a collection in its service profile, deploy it and hand it over to the creator. Creators can use the same process to send a collection to Aurora or another creator. This feature works with supported collections already recorded in Aurora; it is not an import tool for unrelated external contracts.
- All deployed contracts linked to the selected collection move together, including contracts on different networks. The sender must control all of them.
- Artwork, traits, ordering, metadata references, collection details, mint releases, whitelists, branding and history move to the receiving profile.
- Public gallery and mint links stay the same. NFTs already held by collectors remain in their wallets.
- Other collections, linked wallets, subscriptions and private account settings stay with their existing profile. Historical actions keep their original author.
Check the recipient and payment wallets
Both parties need an Aurora profile. The recipient must use their primary wallet with active Creator or Premium access and enough space for the collection. The sender signs with the wallet that owns every included contract.
Finish pending collection transactions and saved mint edits before starting. Complete or cancel any committed artwork reveal first. A cancelled reveal must be planned again by the owner when appropriate.
Ownership changes do not change mint payout wallets or royalty recipients. Review those destinations together. The receiving owner also gains the ability to withdraw any proceeds retained in the contracts.
Send the collection
Choose Hand over
Open your collection in Albums and choose Hand over beside Share.
Review the recipient
Enter the recipient’s primary wallet. If configured, Send to Aurora fills the primary wallet of Aurora’s receiving profile. Check the collection scope and payment destinations, then begin.
Pause and nominate
Follow the numbered wallet steps for each network. Aurora first pauses minting when needed, then asks you to nominate the recipient. Every transaction needs your approval and network gas.
Wait for acceptance
The recipient opens the incoming handover in Albums. Your collection remains reserved while the handover is pending, so edits cannot change what is being transferred.
Receive the collection
Open the incoming handover
Sign in with the nominated primary wallet and open Albums → Collection handovers, even if you have no collections yet.
Review and accept
Review the sender, contracts, royalty wallets, retained proceeds and scope. Accept ownership for each nominated contract with your wallet.
Finish the handover
Aurora verifies confirmed ownership of every contract before moving the collection data. If you return later, use Check progress to reconcile completed wallet actions.
Review before resuming
Minting stays paused after handover. Review the schedule, payout wallets and royalties before resuming. Contracts whose minting was permanently closed remain closed.
Interrupted requests and cancellation
Wallet actions are saved so you can check a submitted transaction instead of sending it again. If a wallet request was cancelled without being sent, clear that request and continue. If you are unsure, check your wallet activity first.
The sender can cancel before any contract has been accepted. Follow the wallet steps to clear existing or prepared ownership nominations, then finish cancellation. Minting stays paused; resume it separately if wanted.
Once any contract has been accepted, complete the whole handover. The recipient can then start a new handover to send the collection back. Multi-network ownership changes are separate transactions, so a partial handover cannot be undone with one button.
